"Hanayoki-san" Mizuka's head shot straight up and looked around the room...no one there..well no one human, Lorna was sitting there looking up at her almost expectantly
"..." She turned back to her homework guessing that she had imagined hearing something.
something cleared it's throat
"Hanayoki, Mizuka-san!" Okay she can't be hearing things something said her name, Lorna puts her paws into Mizuka's lap "It's more than a little rude to ignore me you know.." Lorna chided her.
Mizuka stared at Lorna

"..." Mizuka get up, opens her door and leans outside
"Mum!"
"Yes, sweetheart?"
"Can dogs talk?"
"They can on T.V"
"What about Lorna?"
"...What?"
"Can Lorna talk?"
"Of course not"
"... Thought not, Thanks!" She closes her door and leans against it then slides down to the floor "Fantastic, two weeks till exams and I've gone crazy... Now I'll never get in to university!" Mizuka begins to sob to herself.

Lunai - "Loo-NAI"

Lunai is the Magic Girl Heroine that Mizuka almost unwillingly becomes. She wouldn't do it at all if it wasn't for her dog Lorna (who isn't a dog but a talking fox demon), who helps her with her homework and exam prep!

While yes I have a fascination with fox demons there is something familiar about this one don'tcha think?
